Most of the time it's 1 pedal driving and 1 foot . The acelerator and REGENerative braking all works on the one pedal. Very seldom need to move to the old friction brakes. That is part of the reason it's so efficent. Going downhill makes energy to increase range.
You could get a nice low cost used Chevy Spark EV like I have and drive in L . The L in an electric is for LOTS OF REGEN. It's great practive. the Spark can also charge from a simple 120 volt outlet or a Level 2 J-1772 public EVSE where many are free or a DC Fast Charge CCS port if your Spark EV has that option.
