Great point Len. I think it would depend upon which model one orders. At some point, the solar panel size will determine how much practical power it could allow one to travel. My EV gets some solar energy from solar home charging, so can it too be considered a SAEV? When I go camping, I could partially charge my car from external solar panels connected to my 1,000 watt solar generator, It all packs inside the car. I think it will truly become a matter of semantics until further defining points are addressed. All that matters now is that one tries to stay carbon friendly.
Since they offer Federal and State incentives for EVs, the incentives should be even higher for SAEVs. Those will contribute to a more sustainable society.
