I really want to see this thing happen, and I have a few suggestions for the team. They are my opinions and suggestions, and each point ties to the others. Do less. I like to use Google as an example of genius design. How many meetings must have occurred there with people trying to add things to the site. The genius of Google is that they had the discipline to say 'It's a box and a button. Nothing more. Ever.' Sticking to that decision (to this day) made them countless billions. More importantly, they're still around. Focus. Deliver -anything-. Every time you add another feature I cringe. It's aerodynamic and that alone is the feature that makes it efficient and desirable. Forget about anything else. If you just put out the barebones vehicle with a lawnmower engine people will buy it and love it. Solar? Who cares if it never ends up in a consumer's driveway, and it's just another feature getting in the way of delivering to people's driveways. Strategize. I dislike Tesla in general, but their strategy was correct. They put out one car at the price they could (very high) and used that money to develop and put out better and cheaper cars. They continue to get cheaper, real world tested, consumer trusted, more models, because they focused which enabled them to deliver -anything-, and that was the strategy. Don't underestimate demand. This market is enormous. And in a couple years the market will be saturated. Do it now, jump in the pool, or disappear (again) and be forgotten. Please just deliver anything. Yes lots has to happen to make that happen, manufacturing, etc. Every company that delivers any product has to work that out and if you can you get to play in the pool with everyone else who already has. Yeah I imagine this post may generate some flames. I leave my points to their own merits now, and will not return to read responses. If Aptera puts out a car I'll probably buy it. So put out a car.
