So 99% of my driving is commuting too and from work. Just me. So, this vehicle could fill that role.
I like to kayak on the weekends occasionally though. Obviously, this doesn't look like you could strap a 14ft kayak or two to the roof? Is there any chance this could tow a kayak trailer occasionally with maybe a couple of 35lb kayaks on it?
FYI, for those interested in same thing... Upon further research, it appears that there might indeed be a tow hitch at the back for towing light loads... But that I will probably experience much lower driving distance with kayaks in tow. Which is OK, I just plug in the night before/after a kayak trip to make sure I'm not running on e-fumes.
I wonder if off road package would be best for me, but I suspect that might be lowering my range even more.
Yes it has been said that a structure will be in the back for limited towing possibilities and that would also be a lift point but no details
I am thinking the off road might be for more height concerns and driving in snow with heavier front wheel ( covers) pants
@OnionSoup OnToast I've been wondering about the use of my SeaSucker Bike rack - I know they also make cartop kayak carriers... www.SeaSucker.com
At the Tech talk on Wednesday, Chris Anthony asked viewers to get back to him if they know of any lightweight aerodynamic trailer makers or of any suitable lightweight trailers. They will for sure have a hitch option available.
Harry is right . Chris also said to do that in ~6-9 months, as I am sure they are foucused to deliver a car on time and follow up with all these good high demanded features
“Alexa,
Circle back to Aptera in six months about the trailer option”😉
