Hi, I was wondering what the DC-DC converter was capable as far as Amps. Will you be able to run say an electric blanket/kettle or a decent sized ac inverter? Also possibility to keep it on while car is off? Concerns for camping.
Thanks in advance.
I'm really excited to enjoy the remote areas of New Mexico where the charging infrastructure is quite limited. This vehicle really opens up some great opportunities.
Chris Anthony has answered this in the 'Ask a Question' section of their WeFunder. No need to worry about being able to plug in a 120v blanket or high powered laptop if what he says comes to fruition.
"One very nice feature that some electric vehicles have is a electrical outlet common in the country of purchase such as 120V/20Amp in the United States. This would be a little used but very useful feature at times. - We will have an inverter as an option for camping or work use. I'm not sure if 20a is in the cards but 5a and 10a inverters are certainly workable."
Thanks, I missed that.
These are all possibilities. I think we will have to wait for specs from the built in inverter, but larger ones could be attached at the cost of more drain, of course.
