The Aptera can be downsized. the Graphene battery has 1,000 Wh/kg, 100 kWh charges in 10 min and travels 800 km/497 miles. And the solar cells can then fully charge the Aptera in 1 hour - that's the real never charge EV.
But how many charge cycles is it good for before capacity degrades significantly? New battery tech is exciting but getting both High density, fast charge, endurance and low cost is difficult.
@loswa Unfortunately, solar charge time wouldn't improve, because a different battery won't change Aptera's solar output, & it will have no significant effect at all on power use per mile.

Interesting but article must be old as it says large factory will go into production in 2019 and we have not heard anything yet??
