I like my Chevy Bolt but the one complaint I have is the lack of comfort in the seats. The ride is typical Chevy firm but I can live with that. It's the seats that keep it from being a much better car. They are okay for short in town rides but after an hour or so you really start to notice. If I'm going to take longer trips of several hundred miles I would really appreciate some comfortable seats and a good sound system.
I see a convergance in the design of tadpole recumbent bicycles and the Aptera. Recumbent bicycles are going electric and there tires are getting larger. If you aplly the same desgin priciples of the Aptera to a one seater. You may have a nich market for one passenger highway traveling ultra light, ultra eficient and ultra safe. If that takes off some of the cost it may be the best entry level electric. A single in wheel tire motor in the back may cut costs with a weight reduction. Recumbant bicycles have had serveral fatalities and your pasanger cell would be a great step forward in a one seater. You may even have a market with motor bike alternatives. I have collected these youtube videos regarding this convergance. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPRDK5fXWg8Ru_PsZDEeYkltF6MJp2QLs
