besides the linear output of torque across different amounts of pressure pushed on accelerator pedal, there needs to be a lever to control how much torque vs wheel on the road RevolutionsPerMinute there is to allow more torque for heavy lifting, towing and off roading b/c in those situations u need more torque to push heavy weight than you need to do wheel rotations, but for less heavyweight driving u need not so much torque and more RPM for more driving range and top speed.
computer maybe can identify if more torque is needed by calculating need for torque based on acceleration, default torque/RPM settings and default dry weight, but accelerator pedal would have to indicate car speed rather than energy being used (engine RPM in normal combustion car) which takes away the ability to not increase energy expenditure if keeping consistent speed across changing geographic inclines/declines is not necessary, thus i suggest a simple physical finger lever/paddle shifter style lever operating via screen as a continuously variable manual transmission. https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/6057c86589ce580057e71960
or a a dashboard indicator can indicate energy levels like RPM meter in normal combustion cars.
gearbox maybe helpful. lucid air, tesla etc. maybe for a dedicated vehical designed to do heavy lifting all the time like utility rental truck https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/6058cf71d6102600573ebe8c
