So I know this is probably to early to ask this question due to the start up nature of Aptera at this moment, but has there been any testing done on the vehicle for crash safety and internal safety integration?

There is only cash testing from the older prototypes with VG results we heard but the new Dev vehicles will have to be crash tested as they head to production. They believe the latest will even be better.
And they plan to test to a car crash standard
I will have to look into the older prototypes to see if there are videos then. Thank you very much Len!
Check out the FAQ on this website under safety and this was the latest reply I found:
We will not know Aptera's actual rating until we pass a production vehicle through the full safety test. But we are designing to exceed all passenger car standards and the previous version had the highest roof crush strength of all passenger cars on the road, it performed exceedingly well in actual side and frontal crash tests. Aptera features a Formula One-inspired safety cell with advanced composites and metal structures for impact strength. Similar to aerospace and racing, these energy-absorbing methods are a core part of our safety strategy and have proven effective time and time again in high speed impacts. Aptera also makes use of today’s best forward and side airbag systems in case of an accident.

I own a Polaris Slingshot, at this time there no known instance of on overturning.
Can I ask what insurance company insures your Slingshot as we will all be looking for companies that understand and insure autocycles and hopefully at a fair premium.
Farmers, I have had very good service with them. In fact, I have had a crash and they covered the repairs with no problem.
Really. Can you provide your agency contact info ? As I have Farmers now and he doesn't seem motivated to insure the Aptera with no VIN and trend yet to look at.
The Slingshot could be a good reference even if I use your agency when my time comes.
@Len It though one of the sister companies, sounds like you have a very lazy agent.
So I’m curious about this phrase that Aptera has “these energy-absorbing methods are a core part of our safety strategy”. I’m confident that it can’t easily be crushed, but usually there’s a trade off between strength and energy absorption. Cars usually have low strength in the crumple zones so they can absorb the impact and lengthen the time of impact (and hence the force on the passengers). It would be REALLY COOL if Aptera has found a way to combine strength and energy absorption.
It is composite construction, very much like a motorcycle helmet. Strong, light & energy-absorbing.
If you use your seat belt as intended, air bags are not needed.
Seatbelts don't restrain your head. (Unless it's strapped to a padded helmet, like F1 race car drivers use.)
