I would love to have the high beam switch on the floor, operated with the left foot. This is how cares used to have the high beam switch up until the late '70's and '80's. It alleviates a task on the steering wheel and gives it to the left foot, which has no job in electric vehicles.

I grew up with that too!
Good to list thing but whatever they designed will go forward for now I believe....I doubt they will change much now.
In general I have found they are very sensitive to added weight, change to aerodynamics or power consumption...
My auto high beam is very accurate on my Ridgeline but there is always a time when you have to deactivate
My left foot operates the brake pedal. Well, when it's needed so... yeah, not a lot.
With the Regenerative braking maybe you will be one of those one pedal drivers!
Left foot braking is not good in a regen EV. It causes an alarm in a Tesla Model Y.
.. a Tesla can tell if you are driving with your left foot instead of right? Oh my.
You don't press them both at the same time. Actually, if you do, after the alarm sounds, the accelerator pedal is reduced to near zero so the car will stop when someones foot accidentally catches the accelerator when they're intending to brake. 'Unintended acceleration' cracks me up when I hear stories of it.
@Daniel Watkins Teslas are omniscient!
That would require an additional switch, wiring harness and floor modifications. And... most drivers wouldn't know WTF it is or how to use it.
With only two pedals (no clutch) I don't think it matters all that much if it's on the floor or a lever on the steering column.
