Don't make nose of the car different color. Only ICE cars needs air intake grids. e-cars don't need any of that. look at tesla - front looks amazing after face lift.
I think the graphics on the rendering are speculative. When they build prototypes, and can see it in solid form, the surface graphics will probably be different.
If the latest Aptera render is accurate, the hood is going to be covered with solar tiles. So unless you pick all black color, the front end will most like be different color from the rest of the car. I personally think it looks better this way.
Speaking from the sunny hot SW... if the validated prototypes ends up to be mostly solar and or solar reflective glass that is “looking like black covering the entire top half of the vehicle”.... It could be an interesting solution to the area of vehicle that are sun damaged, down here.
Of course thsee vehicles were:
Metal painted bodies and are typically ten+ years old.
Not garage kept
😞And I suppose not protected well with wax
I garage my vehicles but with the No Charge feature it would advantageous to leave in the sun more often to capture the free charge.
Additionally if vinyl wrap is applied mainly to the lower half...
✅ No direct sun
✅ Wraps are vulnerable to UV, heat and tree sap, so this location can protect. The wheel shirts should protect well from road debris
Of course proper wax is needed for any surface.
All my vehicles’ glass panels have been holding up well, for years, with our over 300 sunny days a year.
I have no experience down here with vinyl wrap... buy my twelve year old vehicle, back on the east coast, did well with the protective clear 3M nose film. Back then I did lots of highway driving, and there was the winter contact with the various snow melting products.
I also used a suggested spray cleaner on it.... called Plexus (cleaner and polish)
For tar and bugs removal I used Lestoil to remove and rinse clean.
But I am sure Aptera will suggest best products after their validation stage...
I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't read like a radiator grill, in my opinion.
Yes, you are right. It's not a radiator grill, but if you separate front bumper by paning it different color, it looks outdated.

I kind of like the dual colors they are showing, especially the nose. Much more dynamic that plain white.
I liked the original white nose, it was a very clean look. I definitely think it looked much better.
If other colors are offered I think the nose should be the same as the rest of the car.

Well it is taking on a look and color scheme of a “flightless” creature.
Adélie penguin
Pretty cute!
Aptera Motors will eventually need a name for this vehicle
Hint, hint...Adélie
Solar tiles and black color looks great. Haven't seen this render before. Still would like to see a render with white bottom part and black top.
I like this latest look too.
