A silly option but some videos outlined shapes with glowing lines for illustration purposes. What about LED glow strips as an option; since any aftermarket product would mess with the skin this would have to be new car option. Some people put those LED strips on the bottom edge or under the car; in this case they could be at glued in with the solar cells without much trouble... but maybe it wouldn't be too difficult to put in some more of them; purely for looks. Although, it would make it more visible on the road at night.
It was your idea in one of your videos; for illustration. maybe it could be an option to for real. Something to poll people perhaps?
No need for Aptera Motors to do it if you can do it yourself, right? Perhaps someone would like to put a good Aptera LED lighting kit or kits together?
The problem is no matter what you can invent or buy it would alter the airflow unless you clear coated the whole thing quite heavily.
Certain spots would be ok but many locations on the outside wouldn't work; which is why I was suggesting it as an option - I don't know how realistic it would be for how it's constructed.
It's just a silly idea that might get somebody thinking about it. It already has that nice front smile they did with the front lights.
@john3c in addition to the LED strips across the nose, around the sides of the tail and along the spine of the front wheel pants, don't forget the "glogos" on the nose and both sides of the vehicle or the three white-lit dots one each side that might or might not become exterior controls!
Is it in line with Aptera's efficiency goals to add like LED light strips just because some demographics think they're cool?
