Using this concept the A columns of the vehicle can be made transparent. Likewise the rear view of the vehicle can be a small lens opening on the rear and a large internal Fresnel. A stretch would be to make much of the doors, dash, transparent as well. Would be fun to experiment with the limits of what can be achieved.
I don't have a technical background in optics. Interested in hearing from anyone who knows if this will work as imagined. : )
Hi
I don’t have that expertise but...
Thanks for sharing this technology. I too enjoy reading about these type of innovations. This one seems compact and more simple/passive than others I have read about.
I had shared, in a old discussion, some other technologies, some out there, that help with blind spots and these used different technology to achieve. Here is just one used with pulling a trailer behind a vehicle https://binged.it/2lCoKDg
I also shared this one...

.... again which appear to use cameras to capture the blocked view and project on the obscuring surface, eliminating the blind spot!
Fun stuff! Who knows what yet newer application this will lead us to! That is what inventing is all about.
I’m 🤞 hoping Aptera could be a company that will excel with such technology \_(ツ)_/¯but first get us into the Aptera we are all reading about.ლ(~̃ ͜ʖ°̃)ლ Dev vehicle only weeks away!
