speaking of this, many places mandate license plate at front of car too, for such the front end could be cheap transparent plastic (thats can resist highspeed wind pressing against it, extreme heat including under very unfiltered sunlight) to allow license plate sitting in that space inside the front end. a little tint color can be done at end of nose in case it sticks out in traffic, people will be seeing license plate from above so plate is tilted as such. the same treat meant as normal car headlight is needed to prevent water condensing. plastic doesnt have to be rubber like, but it can have rubber in between it and main chassis, and rubbers are used to help cancel out vertical shocks front bumpy road so placement can be optimized to dual purpose. color tint may help with solar heat minimization. ive seen white and more mirror like tint rather than black tint, may improve tint performance plus give a rather unique transparent look especially the more mirror like tint b/c it adds visualization of movement when car or things in around it move, also to be considered for windshield, windows etc. czinger
this may also allow showing some of the insides which would be unique appearance. where plate at front is not necessary, one could put some other art in there, lit up or whatever.
