I’m still a fence sitter, mostly because I can’t finance one in my budget until 2024. Judging from this sample of comments, it appears almost everyone is going with the full solar charging package. I’m tempted to do the same when I do order, but a part of me wants a clear glass rear hatch, even though there is no good reason for it. Anyone else thinking the same way? F.Y.I., even though I’m not yet a reservation holder, I am an investor, I truly believe in this vehicle!

Go with what makes sense for you

Everyone has their own needs plans, which may change. This was mine:

🤔 AZ heat. Matte white hides imperfections. ( I do look forward to actually see Luna’s brush aluminum color???

      – 60 kWh (600 mile range). If I realize 540 miles, given driving variables .. that’s fine. I will take a range hit with AWD and possibility other add ons like off road, because of weight(TBD). I would carry a spare tire+on long trips…

      🤔 Cross country trips

      – AWD

🤔 Primitive roads in our high mountain ranch community

      – Full Solar

🤔 AZ “ Free Charge”. Up to 46 miles PER DAY. I drive a vehicle now, where I only use my back up camera and side view mirrors , so no view through hatch glass is no big deal for me

      – Off Road

🤔 Primitive roads. Increase the standard 5” wheel cover GC by ~ 2’+ inches

      – Safety Pilot

      🤔 Safety (Only Level 2 autonomous+)

      – Enhanced Audio 🤔

I like music … It might be too quiet without😉

      – Camping kit

🤔 “Just In Case” Easy to store and carry and…Would like to take our Doberman on some overnights

      – Pet kit 🤔 Doberman

I am waiting to actually see each option. I love that I can adjust my pre order on the new website. I just listed everything except custom interior and exterior color for now! When they contact me, that is when the rubber hits the road.

If you want my referral -$30 off a REFUNDABLE reservation, let me know…. Even though I don’t expect my low number to come until 2022. If you reserve you would be in the queue and don’t have to commit until your production comes due

I am also going with the clear back glass. I prefer the interior of the car to be brighter rather than dark and gloomy. I might change my mind once I see an interior firsthand. However, until then I’m sticking with clear back glass.

I’m not quite sure how I spoofed my way into a number as low as 10131, but there you are. Originally the order was for a Paradigm Sol, but I may have been disqualified because I’m not (yet) an investor. Now it is for a full solar 60 kWh Sol.

Being a Canadian resident, I am unlikely to be able to take advantage of my low number, so I won’t be holding anyone else up, in any case.

22335 Sol, All Solar, Tan interior, smallest battery pack, and two wheel drive. I don’t do long trips so extended range doesn’t float my boat. The Model 3 that’s coming is a standard range as well. Marietta, Georgia

Noir, 400 miles, AWD, Full Solar, Coast, Pilot, Enhanced Audio, Camping, Off Road.

I kept switching back and forth between 600 miles, and less extras, or 400 miles with more extras.

In the end it was hearing that the 400 mile battery Apteras would be the first model in the que, that made up my mind.

#15008. Sol, 250mi., hood & roof solar, no accessories, still deciding on the interior. Ordered 12/21/20.

After doing the usual checking the FAQ and all forum discussions first, I have not found any info on how to find out my reservation number. I just ordered today 8/30/21, so maybe they just haven’t emailed my order details yet. I have gotten confirmation of my order, but nowhere is there a reservation number. Am I missing something or do I just need to wait longer?

      Philip, Go to “My Acount”

      Then click “Review Orders”

      Shows as “Preorder order ID”

If it’s fully in the system that’s where you should find it.

      • Philip Raymond

        August 30, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Thanks for the added info. I did go to review orders and there is no pre order id, but every other confirmed detail of my order is there. I hope it’s just a case of it not being fully in their system and not another bug in their already buggy “new” website. I’ve built e-commerce websites myself over the past 10 years. Their new site looks great, but functionally, it looks like a work in progress, hope it gets better for all of us!

I am not sure of the new website but if you signed in and have an account your pre order reservation should come up

So Len, I think I found my reservation number via a backdoor method. At the end of my referral link is the number 33317. I know that number is higher than others have shown here, but considering I ordered yesterday on 8/30/21, tell me if that number sounds right to you. Still no invoice number in my orders, where it should be.

            • Dennis McCall McCall

              August 31, 2021 at 7:50 pm

33317 is highly unlikely to be your vehicle reservation number as that is off by an order of 10,000. Recheck and make sure it’s not 23317 as that would be in the ballpark and sounds about right.

The number might just be a coincidence in that case, my referral code ends in a number unlike my reservation and unlike the number sequence in yours. A reservation placed 8/30/21 would probably be in the 23000-24000 range. (To find your likely position in the queue subtract 10,000 for a general feel to where you are, as the first reservation was 10001, and minus another probable 1,000-2,000 for small glitches in the ordering system.)

Good news, sort of. Aptera finally responded to my email concerning the lack of a pre order invoice number and they acknowledged an issue regarding the transfer of data to the new website and that my number will appear eventually, just not yet. So, even though I have no invoice number, they assured me my order is in their queue. I’m just happy they owned the website problem.

Today, I finally got my order number-949. Could someone please explain the math to figure out the queue position? Subtracting 10,000 from 949 doesn’t sound or look right, so I guess I’m missing something.

That sounds like the order number they gave you only reflects orders taken since the website went up. (Possibly including merch orders as well.) Hopefully they will issue a reservation order number or ID at some point. Otherwise, there is not really any way to get a real idea of where you stand, except for the date, and that would only let you know who’s reservations you might be behind or ahead of.

    #16872 here, reserved on January 16, 2020

Solar hood and roof, clear hatch

400 mile range, all wheel drive

    All the add-ons

Currently have Luna/coast selected, but that may change.

Incidentally there was a hiccup very early on and I also hold an order number with no Aptera associated with it. I accidentally took #17264 when trying to add features to my original reservation. I’m good at things.

Great question ….. WHAT IS MY RESERVATION NUMBER?

I can’t see it on the dashboard or on the orders page of my account.

    Where do you find it?

See my post on this topic from 3:37pm today. It’s a data transfer problem with the new website. No time was given when it will be fixed, I have the same problem. After the words “pre order number”, it’s just blank.
